Welcome to my learning journal.
Funny I might be writing this, I have to apologize first that I’m not a good writer… so please forgive me if I (don’t.. ha) can make sense in my sentences .. (Still working to improve on it …) anyway didn’t want to fake my style of writing… Hope through this blog you can learn more about me and my design (while I crave for your feedback ha!)… so here it goes… by the way this is my first time blogging … (who knows …)
Basically I’m not the kind of person who like to blog but after looking through the other blogs by my classmates I find blogging as an interesting way to present our work and exchange our design ideas It is also a fantastic channel for a designer (or just some one who wish to learn) to receive feedback on our work. The feedbacks plays an important role as it can give us a better understand how others feel and what we need to improve in the future.
During the first lesson, my impression to this course was all about drawing and design. But right after the lecture, I understand it not so much on how well we can draw but it is also about self presentation, confidence and understanding to his design. How well one can present and deliver his design is as important as how his design can communicate to his audiences. (As what I see in our first assignment) To me designs theories are just guidelines to how u can work on a design. It is how we learn to apply these theories that will help us to enhance the creatively in our work.
What I have been constantly reminded by my tutors and mentor is that being a designer (not just for visual graphics), one need an open mind for their ideas. Have a sense of thoughts for the global audience. That is (to me…) nothing is wrong or right in one’s design but when it comes to specify (especially design for the commercial purpose)… one must know what is required and the restriction we might encounter in the process.
Every module is a learning process. Eventually, it is what I have gained from this learning process that makes it so satisfying…
